My first event in Ibiza was Cocoon at 528. I got there from the hotel by taxi — 30 euros, 40 minutes.

Arrived in Ibiza and the first day was exactly what I needed after Madrid: no rush, no agenda, nothing to prove to anyone. The hotel is Vibra Algarb at Playa d'en Bossa, and the room has a direct view of the pool and the sea. It's not the Four Seasons, but it doesn't need to be.

Ryanair has a special talent for making you question your own reality. On my way from Madrid to Ibiza, I open the app and the flight shows up on time, no drama — but no gate assigned. Fine, that happens.

Madrid has layers. Not like CDMX where everything coexists chaotically on the same block. Here the historic center has its own logic, as if time had settled into strata and each street releases centuries one by one.

Madrid has this strange ability to make you feel small and grand at the same time.

I landed in Madrid at 5am after a nearly 10-hour flight from Mexico City. The logical move would've been to wait for standard check-in, park yourself in the hotel lobby with your luggage and stare at the ceiling. I paid 50 euros extra to go straight to the room. Worth it?

There's something strange about the silence of a rooftop when you already know you won't be here in a few hours. Everything you normally ignore — the city noise, the sky before dawn, even the cold tiles under your feet — suddenly takes on a different texture.
